Harlen Goad, the creative force behind Lucid Vision, began his journey into live digital art in 2016. What started as a hobby quickly became an obsession, driven by the desire to synchronize visuals with music in immersive experiences. Based in Lubbock, Texas, Lucid Vision has brought its dynamic artistry to festivals and events across the United States, showcasing over five years of expertise in VJing and projection mapping.

Harlen’s fascination with projection mapping took root during his time volunteering at Burning Man’s ARTery, where he was deeply influenced by the art of interactive visuals. His involvement with Belligerent Gap, a camp featuring an Old West bar facade, sparked his interest in breathing new life into old structures through projection. This period marked the beginning of his intense focus on mastering projection mapping.

With each new project, Harlen continues to push the boundaries of visual art, driven by a passion for innovation and a commitment to sharing his unique creations with the world.

As Harlen delved deeper, he embraced the challenges and complexities of this medium, dedicating himself to learning leading VJ and mapping software, programming, and 3D modeling. This journey has been both exhilarating and educational, shaping his distinctive visual style.
