Lutum Alchimiae was born on the desert/plains of Lubbock, Texas during the winter of 2021. We have been long-time dancers, trancers, and participants of the psy community. The healing that takes place at underground psy events has made an incredible impact on our lives throughout the years and there has not been anything like it here in West Texas, so we decided it was time that we answered the calling to bring that to our home region. This area is a big, flat piece of dirt that has been over farmed and over worked. The social climate also makes it somewhat difficult for the people living here who are a little different, a little weird, a little strange. It can be very easy to slip into isolation. This has been a region of nothingness for a very very long time, so those of us who call this place home are used to making something out of nothing if we want it to happen. That is exactly the mission of Lutum Alchimiae. We are a collective of artists and musicians that hope to provide space for people to come dance, make art, play music, and heal through active meditation music by way of underground open-air psy gatherings. The intentions of these gatherings are also to provide a space for people to learn. Learn about themselves, each other, and how to take better care of the land and the earth and everything/everyone on it(and also Unlearning 😉). With the help and advice of more experienced fellow crews, organizers, and “elders” in the psytrance community we threw our first successful underground party in April of 2022 and there will be many more to come.
